We have been acting out the stories with the masks we have made and looking at the similarities and structure of the stories.
The Ladybirds also enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year. We have looked at the story of the animals of the New Year and their race that the children enjoyed re-enacting. The role-play area was turned into a Chinese restaurant with traditional Chinese clothes to wear. We tasted different Chinese foods, and made up a dragon dance and then had a go at Chinese writing.
